“Life on the Loop” zine (2024).

What is the relationship between urban infrastructure and housing vulnerability? Focused on Indianapolis, this research sought to analyze the interconnections between Interstate 465 (I-465) and evictions in the city.

The resulting spatial analysis shows that

56% of the top evictors in Indy are within 1 mile of I-465.

Such type of infrastructure has historically served to displace millions of Black and Brown residents from their communities. This analysis demonstrates that the negative impacts of I-465 are ongoing.
